Following the recent completion of her Masters in Media and Communication (Swinburne), Sarah is beginning to discover the world may very well be her oyster. Seafood aside, having been banned from watching Rage and Video Hits as a child, Sarah developed a great interest in the escapist realm of the music video (that, and the fact they run for about 3 minutes on average!). Sarah’s interests may be broader than a swimmers shoulders but include the occasional addition to her collection of Diana Ross inspired jumpsuits, Magnum PI and all things ghetto fabulous. Her dislikes, few: rude people and ticket inspectors.

DEWANI SHEBUBAKAR

Dewani is a perpetual student and serial university sampler about to undertake her second undergraduate degree in Communication Design at Swinburne after a brief foray in a Master of Multimedia Design at Monash and a completed Communications Media degree at RMIT. Dewani has also produced and presented community radio with SYNFM and Triple R, and television with Channel 31. An intern at Portable, current projects include co-curating the Portable Fashion Festival showcase in conjunction with Melbourne L’Oreal Fashion Festival and recruiting contributors for portable.tv and this year’s Portable Film Festival. Attenborough documentaries, craft design, the deep sea, cheese and flailing wildly to music are all good in her books.

Brodie is currently in the final stages of a Media Communications degree, and is spending some time writing articles for Portable.tv. Since high school, she’s worked on a few short film and documentary projects, all the while dreaming of the day she can make her first feature. Brodie is inspired by smart, sassy ladies and enjoys collaging, cooking themed feasts, finding gold in hard rubbish, watching her friends play music in some of Melbourne’s dingiest locales, and spending entire days in bed watching movies. It’s a wonder she gets anything done, really.
