Black Sheep’s Parque Delusion

Before we begin, it’s important for you to get a grip on reality. Right, how strong is your grasp? You might like to hold on tighter, Black Sheep Films are about to take you on a downward descent into Buenos Aires, and no one wants you to fall off this delusional ride around the city’s historical buildings.

Accompanied by the Langhorne Slim tune Worries, Parque—directed by Fernando Livschitz—the almost philosophical dream meets potential nightmare-esque film provides an insight into the future of fun. While reflective buildings transform into amusement park mirrors with the characteristic creepy, distorted reflection of yourself transformed into the view of the warped building surrounds,  an effect which paves the way for viewers to embrace the alternate comprehension required for full acceptance of the rollercoaster led theme park extravaganza that is to follow, leading one to ask many questions and provides not so many answers.

Is this sci-fi inspired concept of old school fun what we are to expect from the amusement park of the future or is it just a mind bending experiment by an experimental film maker who wanted to play with the foundations our society was built on, removing some of them all together. Whether any of this was intentional or not, from this day forwards we can forget traditional childhood dreams of growing up to create incredible feats of engineering genius, these amusement park rides will blow your realistic attitude out of the ground. Move over industrial revolution, Parque is a concept the eyes need to behold.
