The Freedom Charter from rowan pybus & faith47 on Vimeo.

African street artist Faith47 has teamed up with frequent collaborator Rowan Pybus of Makhulu Productions to create The Freedom Charter. A portrait of the hope, fear, beauty, rebellion and political perspectives of the residents of Nairobi, the film uses Faith’s street art as a vehicle to travel into the close-knit communities of her hometown.

The Freedom Charter’s intrinsically South African flavour can be attributed, not only to the artist and director responsible for it, but also to the dub-heavy soundtrack by Fletcher and Kendal Beadon. More information on the project can be found here.
