To coincide with Nike’s World Basketball Festival, the sportswear giant got together with Make Something!! and held a series of workshops in New York. Among the artists roped in to assist with the program was V Magazine editor, Emma Reeves, Cassette Playa’s Carri Mundane, and celebrated photographer, Ari Marcopoulos.
In the embedded video above, Marcopolous demonstrates his D.I.Y. zine making abilities to a bunch of teenagers, who, in turn, produce their own little photocopied artefact. If you’re like me, and you’re reading this article in a city that is, A) Not New York, B) Currently freezing cold, and C) Not kewl enough to have had Make Something!! workshops when you were growing up, you might want to avoid watching. It’s depressing, really. Watch this instead.
