Have you ever found yourself pausing a film, amidst the action, drama, etc., just to soak in the tension and appreciate the visuals of one particular frame or sequence?  The folks at ‘If We Don’t, Remember Me’ definitely have. This film blog applies Ferris Bueller’s timeless “life moves pretty fast” advice to movie-watching, encouraging people to pause the fast-paced sequences of various films and take a moment to bask in the rich visuals of a brief scene that could otherwise go overlooked. By combining just 10-15 frames from indie, old Hollywood and French Nouvelle Vague films, a resulting “GIF-ified” sequence is paired with a corresponding quote and provides a treat for the eyes. It’s an impressive project, and the blog certainly captures the spirit, dialogue and aesthetics of films such as Amelie, Fargo, Blade Runner, Belle du Jour, and many more. Here are some of our faves:

“I had two heart attacks, an abortion, did crack…while I was pregnant. Other than that, I’m fine.”
