Todd, Overeager Intern
Todd ends a debate over child murder in the same way many people would end a cover letter, “I wanna make sure you know that my priority is this business. I want to be a real part of this, if you can just see that I’m motivated, and I’ve got connections.”
Doesn’t that remind you of every overeager new hire or intern you’ve ever met? In the previous episode Todd’s overeagerness took him above and beyond the line of duty into levels of crazy dedication. Todd wanted to be liked, and wanted to impress so badly that he did the unthinkable. Kind of like if your overeager subordinate brings you a mocha instead of the goddamn black coffee you wanted. Not that I’ve ever had a subordinate.
