The Disney magic is in the air with this latest promotional video for Lady and the Tramp. The iconic film, featuring Romeo-and-Juliet-inspired-canine-star-crossed-lovers, originally debuted in 1987, but the release of the Walt Disney classic on Blu-Ray DVD has allowed a new generation to enjoy the love story.
This feature video captures the film’s most famous scene, where nuzzling meatballs and ungraciously slurping spaghetti becomes incredibly romantic. The scene itself has been spoofed through numerous TV shows, movies and YouTube videos with foxes, guinea pigs and even people. Even though the scene has been done to death, this video with the real live Lady and Tramp, and the combination of the Italian music, full moon and candlelight, still makes us romantics weak at the knees.
The film makes all of us 90′s kids nostalgic for a time where Disney movies contained catchy showtunes and weren’t in 3D. Now if only we could train our pets to recreate other famous Disney scenes as well…
