Now that the official Summer Olympics are over, it’s time for the actual Summer Olympics to resume. While the London games displayed world-class athleticism, they had little to do with the actual competitive elements of summer (who among us has ever played badminton but doesn’t own a lake house?). Olympic events bear no resemblance to the games the rest of us play in the heat. Let’s take a moment now and recognize some of the challenges that summer presents to regular people.
