A Portrait of Hailee Steinfeld

Two years ago she was all about Blingatude, last year she was nominated for an Academy Award and today 14 year old Hailee Steinfeld is all about glittery opulence as the face of Miu Miu.

The True Grit star puts her perspicacity behind her and represents the youthful, sassy brand with her cheeky demeanor in Portrait of Hailee, a five-minute film by director Bruce Weber, who also shot the editorial campaign. Whether she’s eating pizza or languishing in a palace, Steinfeld never fails to make is envious that it is she that is clad in the fall/winter 2011 collection’s floral dresses and glittered accessories, and not us.

Steinfeld is the latest in a line of charming actresses (Maggie Gyllenhaal, Kirsten Dunst, Vanessa Paradis, Lindsay Lohan, Drew Barrymore) recruited by Miuccia Prada to portray her luxury brand, and she does so to the fitting orchestral strains of Jacqueline Du Pré.

Portrait of Hailee will feature in the fourth A Shaded View of Fashion Film, which will closes Paris Fashion Week this Sunday. Read more about the festival in our interview with founder Diane Pernet.
