Australia’s most rebellious model Abbey Lee Kershaw roams the streets of London in this behind-the-scenes look for high street retailer Portman’s A/W ’12 campaign, Cool Britannia. The peroxide blonde beauty captures the essence of the iconic British 60s It-girl, taking cues from the likes of the original waif, Twiggy.

Posing outside some of the British capital’s most famous landmarks including Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, with a red phone booth and black cabs spotting the backdrop, Kershaw edges up Portman’s staple winter pieces from traditional trench and peacoats to lace overlay dresses and tartans.  With a colour palette of predominately red, black and white, Portman’s A/W ’12 is a bold and contemporary take on preppy chic.

Since becoming the face of the Australian retailer, Kershaw has brought Portman’s into a new age of keeping with their classic sensibilities while breathing new, spontaneous life into the brand, adding a touch of luxe covet-ability to the once purely staple working-woman’s brand.
