The making of Philip Lim’s sensational collage dress from NETAPORTER on YouTube
It’s been almost a year since Phillip Lim showcased his Spring 2010 collection at New York fashion week, and we’ve spent that time dreaming of the soft pleats and lace accents of his gentle yet constructed “collage” dress.
Net-a-porter created an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how Phillip and his team behind the label 3.1 Philip Lim went about bringing his vision of the dress to fruition. The collection, which was inspired by a visit to the Picasso: Mosqueteros exhibition at the Gagosian, featured machine-washable suits and a smattering of sequins, but it was this dress that was undoubtedly the highlight.
The video focusses on this specific one, but there are a couple of darker alternate versions you can froth over here and here.
