The video look-book for Canadian label Betina Lou‘s Spring/Summer 2012 collection is free-spirited, feminine and makes you want to grab your gal pals and enjoy a sweet picnic by the seaside. Launched in 2009, the Betina Lou ready-to-wear line uses natural fibers, a neutral color palette and subtle detail to produce pieces that are uniquely timeless.

The video, which was directed by Hervé Demers, was shot on the shore of Lac Champlain in Quebec, a place that the label’s designer Marie-Eve Emond chose because it is “reminiscent of the French sea shore of the past century, along with the classic small beach houses. It’s also a take on Jacques Tati’s universe.”

The label, which has plans to expand internationally to Europe and the US in the next few years, has a specific girl in mind when putting together both collections and look books like this one, and she looked equally beautiful riding a bicycle.

“Marie-Eve’s muse is Audrey Hepburn…the Betina Lou type girl is pretty in a natural way, curious, not complicated and is sensitive to the world surrounding her. She’s eager to learn and is always up for a fun bike ride! It is totally free-spirited and feminine.”
