Only Ombré is the beautiful and whimsical creation of Lucinda Trask and Elizabeth Jaeger. Both based in Brooklyn, New York, the two creatives came together initially to create one pair of pants, which has since spawned into a fully fledged, standout, cult collection. Using what some may say is the straightforward art of dip-dye, Trask, whose background is in high fashion, and Jaeger, whose fine arts background, and whose work with Jacquard taught her the skills she needed in order to execute the subtle and intricate dyes on Only Ombré’s pieces, led to the innovative partnership which is far from simple. Trask and Jaeger’s attention to detail is evident in each of their garments whether it be the cut, structure, dye or feel of the fabric on one’s skin.

Trask and Jaeger opened up their studio in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn and spoke to Portable about the evolution and future of the exciting new label.
