Freelance writer, blogger and illustrator Garance Dore’s latest footloose and fancy free collaboration with iconic French fashion label Petit Bateau sees her ditching her initially prudish attitude to get down and dirty (dancing, that is—this is a family friendly clothing brand) and do the Madison with her spritely date.
The advertisement is one and a half minutes of pure, child-like frivolity, in sync with the label’s playful brand aesthetic and Dore’s own philosophy; she recently blogged that “Taking yourself too seriously is the first sign of a boring life”.
Considering Dore’s first reaction to the proposition from Petit Bateau was “Nooooooo! I can’t do that. I’d look ridiculous, and I’ve never danced the Madison in my life. No. Just No”, we think she looks pretty cute. We agree with the fellow diner (who looks suspiciously like the Monopoly Man): “She’s a good dancer!”
