Loden Dager’s Seasonal Boys

Menswear savants Paul Marlow and Oliver Helden of Loden Dager once again shared their unique take on the modern man with a rapturous crowd at The Hudson Hotel on Saturday.

We were sold from the moment we saw the first look—a simple summer shirt and Chino combination, paired with the Nike shoes that would appear throughout, in varying shades of luridness—to the strains of the Beastie Boys and Santigold’s Don’t Play No Game That I Can’t Win. From their vivid prints on both tops and bottoms, to their relaxed approach to more formal wear like vests and classic jackets, Loden Dager proved with this collection that there’s much more to men’s seasonal wear than just jeans and t-shirts. Peppered throughout the collection were a range of casual backpacks, which, while being masculine and sturdy, never lose their sartorial edge; a motif of Marlow’s and Helden’s work to date.
