Pretty young things frolic in spacey, Jetson-inspired dressing rooms for a short film commemorating Prada‘s Fall 2011 collection. Shot by renowed fashion photographer Steven Meisel, the American artist attempts to channel innocence through brief close-up shots of translucent skin, luxurious fabric and shiny gold buckles.
Featuring Swedish teenager Frida Gustavsson and a new batch of models such as Kelly Mittendorf, Julia Zimmer, Ondria Hardin and Antonia Wesseloh, the girls play the roles of porcelain mannequins to perfection—right down to deadpan facial expressions and flesh toned manicures. Donning an eccentric mosaic of fur & snakeskin, the models flaunt graphic retro print and glitter socks, blanketed in synthetic sorbet shades and funny furry caps.
Usually known for his sensual and elaborate work for publications like Vogue, W and Sex—Madonna’s infamous coffee table book—Meisel transformed his pictures into moving image in an awkwardly sexual fashion film.
