Babes at every age star in the new Uniqlo campaign, Make Life More Colourful, for their new line of rainbow-fied skinny leg jeans. Fifteen year-old Portable favourite and Rookie founder/editor/blogger/singer (is there nothing she can’t do?) Tavi Gevinson, 34 year-old generation-defining model Alek Wek and 58 year-old girl power pioneering pop singer Cyndi Lauper all let us take a sneak peek into their far-from-black-and-white everyday lives.
Not only does the video feature the covetable new slacks from the Japanese retailer modelled by the famous faces, but also showcases a collaboration with Irish designer Orla Kiely. Kiely’s designs are rich in pattern and embellishment with sail boats, leaves, cars, fruits and florals covering every inch of her scarves, day dresses and tailored long-sleeve shirts. The pieces in particular are the perfect match for Gevinson and Lauper who are known individually for their experimental and cutting edge style.
Whether Tavi is hanging out in her backyard hosting a pool party or Cyndi is proving at 58 girls (still) just wanna have fun, Uniqlo have got your brightly coloured fashion needs sorted so you can look super kawaii.
