We at Portable have a rather sizeable affinity for both Moleskine notebooks and stop-motion animation. You can only imagine our excitement when we discovered the venerable notebook designer’s latest film—not only does it feature some handsome stop-motion footage, but it introduces us to the company’s latest foray into handbags, backpacks and eyeglasses.
Created by Dutch animator Rogier Wieland, the film showcases a line of smart, utilitarian travel bags that take Moleskine’s design credo of simplicity, functionality and timeless style to heart. The new collection, simply titled ‘Reading, Writing and Travelling,’ is designed by the renowned Italian industrial designer Giulio Iacchetti.

You absolutely made my day with this news. I cannot leave the house without my moleskine, it’s as essential as my cell phone.
The bags look just like the books, simple, well designed and efficient. I cannot wait to get my hands on one, I’ve been searching for a day to day bag for quite some time now. And you say they will be making spectacles also??
