The Venice, California-based production company Slim Pictures has done a vivid (and messy) job of recreating the world-famous Tomatina festival held every year in Buñol, Valencia, Spain. Teaming up with directing collective ZCDC (of Gentleman’s Fight Club fame) and Ray Ban, this video is the first of a series of globe-trotting fashion short-films that showcase the iconic Italian eyewear brand’s latest styles.
Stylistically, the films emphasize the vivid colors and vivacious body language that characterizes the tomato festival and Spain itself. The warmth, vibrance and beauty of Spain’s villages are all represented wonderfully, while the impromptu slipping and sliding in the resulting tomato glop is pretty heart-warming, too.
