Synopsis
No longer the work of basement-dwellers splicing together fan videos to their favourite songs, the unofficial music video now has the ability to be seen by just as many people as its legitimate counterparts.
Animator Ori Toor created this stream-of-consciousness style flash animation for the Animal Collective track Lion in a Coma as his final project at Israel’s Shenkar School of Engineering and Design. The end result is a vivid, engrossing piece whose quality is on par with that of a video with a significantly larger budget behind it.
Lion in a Coma is a Portable Film Festival Official Selection in 2010.
