Synopsis

One of the biggest surprise viral video hits of 2010 has been the story of a pleasant but insecure shell named Marcel. Marcel wears shoes, goes hang-gliding on Doritos and has a makeshift dog, a raisin-cum-beanbag and some familial horror stories.

The stop-motion short was directed by Dean Fleischer-Camp, and co-written by him and formerSaturday Night Live featured player Jenny Slate, who has won thousands of hearts for her portrayal of the shell who likes a lot of things about himself.

Marcel the Shell With Shoes On is a Portable Film Festival Official Selection for 2010.
