Synopsis
First came the invention of the wheel. Not long after that came the first time a wheel was integrated into a world filled with harsh angles. In the grand tradition of the square peg and the round hole comes this lovely stop-motion animation from Quentin Carnicelli and Charles Klipfel of Tout Court.
Inspired by The Ugly Duckling, Le vilain petit carré (The Ugly Square) is a meticulously hand-crafted animation whose sets, props are characters were created entirely out of coloured paper.
The Ugly Square is a Portable Film Festival Official Selection in 2010

Think you got the link wrong! Instead of seeing a stop motion video, I’m seeing a video of a baby girl swimming in a pool and blowing bubbles…
Thanks, Michelle! The bug with the link has been fixed and we won’t have to accidentally watch home movies anymore!
