As we pass the half way mark of 2012 and summer begins to wind to a close, most of the biggest movie releases of the year have either already been released or are about to be released. But don’t weep into your Dark Knight Rises memorabilia just yet! There are plenty of pretty awesome films still to come this year, assuming the world doesn’t end in December (seriously, is that even still a thing?). So we’ve done all the hard work for you and trawled through to find the most anticipated releases of the year according to everyone’s favourite critic, the Internet, and then said ‘Fuck that’ and compiled our own list. You won’t find sequels, prequels or franchises here (bar one worthy addition, and you’ll see why it’s a necessity), just a list of unique and exciting upcoming films to mark your calender with.
