Death; still such a taboo in the western world. Everybody dies and yet it’s still so hard to feel comfortable talking about it. At least, without all the drama and pathos of Romeo & Juliet or Titanic. Over the last few years there have been a few films that have had a go at normalizing it, treating death as it is, an unmovable part of the life cycle. And depicting reactions that are normal, denial, anger, bargaining and acceptance. And a lot of times, they’re funny too – which is a bonus.
