David Choe was recently commissioned to do a series of artworks with would-be king of the badasses, Danny Trejo. The pieces were in celebration of Trejo’s new film, Machete, which is based on one of the fake trailers in the original Robert Rodriguez/Quentin Tarantino collaboration, Grindhouse.
For those interested, Machete tells the story of an ex-Federale who, “after being betrayed by the organization who hired him, launches a brutal rampage of revenge against his former boss.” The film co-stars Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez and Lindsay Lohan (you’ve never been high enough to dream up those actors all together in the same film), and will hit U.S. theatres this Friday.
