Lakairomania

ATTN, Y’ALL: This is Lakairomania – one of the entries for Transworld Skateboarding’s 2010 Skate & Create competition. It is possibly the greatest skateboarding video ever made, and it was directed by Ty Evans, who explains his inspiration for the film in possibly the coolest sentence ever uttered by a human being in planet earth’s history:

“I had just filmed Neckface throw a Molotov cocktail against a wall at night and loved how it looked.”

Sort of think it would be difficult to make a molotov cocktail + Neckface video look ‘shithouse,’ but whatever. The point is, Evans spent nine days in a warehouse with a six skateboarders, some pyrotechnicians, and a bunch of high-speed video cameras. His result is a ‘game changer.’
