As anyone with a twitter account, a smart phone or access to the Internet will already know, the prolific screenwriter Nora Ephron passed away at the age of 71 yesterday. I think the world heaved a collective sigh as we realized the gap this leaves in the already bleak world of romantic comedies. No more Meg Ryan (although her innate charm seems to have faded after the third or fourth face lift), no more Empire State Building, no more moonlight walks and witty banter. Oh, the humanity!
In honor of the woman who taught us as young girls that being neurotic, emotional or fragile person didn’t stop us from being strong, independent females with wit and power, we’ve put together a list of some of the life and love lessons Ephron passed onto us.
