Let’s go all the way, all the way to the boat loading dock, where a hook is waiting for fresh bait. Nautical fashion is one that will never truly go out of style, a classic staple on and off the dock. French male fashion magazine L’Officiel Hommes has chosen to highlight some nautical gear by including it in Deadliest Catch, a film that shows much more than just clothes.

Directed by the magazine’s current creative director André Saraiva (also known as street artist Mr. A), the video is a proper fashion film. It incorporates both color and black and white photography, giving it multifaceted appeal. It travels between the two styles in the same way it seems to travel through time: the black and white picture is also given a rustic Old Man and the Sea effect. The film’s main characters are a group of friendly fishermen, dressed in casually elegant horizontal stripes with and subversively chic peacoats.

During a fishing voyage, the men find the body of a woman who has appeared to have drowned in the raging sea. She’s a beautiful corpse that renders them helpless, leaving them no choice but to leave her hanging on a hook. Considering its short four-minute length, this film packs quite the storyline. It stars Camille Rowe-Pourcheresse as the damsel, and Johan Lindberg, Brian McPeck, and Matthew McAuely as the fishermen. Deadliest Catch proves that the creativity cup at L’Officiel runneth over.
