
The advent of new technologies to capture the moving image has given rise to a new generation of filmmakers with unprecedented access to digital cinema tools. The new technology consumption has resulted in an explosion of amateur content being produced, primarily for viewing online. While many a celebrity have come undone through the airing of an amateur video depicting them in compromising situations, this week saw celebrity turn film maker with phenominal outcomes.

Two AFL footballers shot to fame becomming Australia’s most publicised film makers this week. When The Age revealed the existance of “The Adventures of Little Boris” a film depicting a rubber chicken, among other things, having sex with the carcuss of a real chicken. North Melbourne Footballer Adam Simpson and Daniel Pratt later laid claim to authorship of the chronicles.
