9 FEET TEETH (trailer) from danger from deer on Vimeo.
Despite what your screenwriting teacher will have you believe, not all films are destined to be seen in cinemas or earn their creators bucketloads of cash. If there’s one thing we love about the abundance of people buying cameras, computers and editing gear, it’s that there’s never a shortage of beautiful, smart things for us to watch.
This is an idea shared by a bunch of independent filmmakers in Melbourne who have banded together to create Nine Feet Teeth, a collaborative project from Beg, Scream and Shout!, Who By Fire (minus Leonard Cohen) and Danger from Deer at the Worker’s Club tomorrow night.
All it takes is a cash donation at the door and you can settle in to watch two hours’ worth of shorts from creative types like Daniel Cahill, David Ellis, Johann Rashid, Derry Sheehan and Jimmy Southgate – names you might not be familiar with…yet.
Nine Feet Teeth kicks off at 7pm tomorrow night (September 21) at the Workers Club (corner of Brunswick and Gertrude Streets in Fitzroy).
