Portable Film Festival HEARTS Tangerine

By Andrew Apostola / April 2nd, 2009 in Film / / 11 views

“If you are in a war, instead of throwing a hand grenade at the enemy, throw a tangerine. Maybe it’ll make everyone think how stupid war is, and while they are thinking, you can throw a real grenade at them…” – Jack Handy

Portable is excited to introduce one of it’s newest Media Partners, Tangerine.

Tangerine was born from the song Tangerine by Led Zeppelin. This song evokes a sense of dreaming and creativity. As a short-film night ‘Tangerine’ inspires you to dream, and helps directors achieve their dream by giving them the exposure they need.

If you haven’t been to the new Tangerine website yet, make sure you have a look. A new Tangerine TV film is up to be watched, brought to you by Portable Film Festival.

On the first Tuesday of every month Tangerine holds a screening event down at The Local for a beer and bit of inspiration. With work screening from home town Melbourne, to Paris and London there is every reason to pop down for a FREE ALE!

07/04 – Next Tangerine night

         @ The Local Taphouse - From 7pm
184 Carlisle Street, East St Kilda

Forget your day job and remember your creativity.
