The Social Network Goes Interactive

Admittedly, we were a little skeptical of The Social Network at first. “A film about Facebook,” etc.
But after a handful of really great trailers, we’re starting to eat our words and get psyched for the October 1st release. The release of this new interactive trailer doesn’t hurt, either.

Effectively doing what those annoying annotations in YouTube videos do (giving you a link within the video), the trailer keeps you within the same window/tab/player and offers some fun facts about the film.

Trivia Time!
Sean Parker (played by Justin Timberlake in the film) was the one who suggested dropping the “The” in the original name of the site: TheFaceBook; the snow Jesse Eisenberg and Co. trudge through in the film wasn’t real snow (the magic of the movies, right!?); a bunch of women check their Facebook in the middle of the night, while others do it as soon as they wake up (guilty); Jesse Eisenberg’s cousin works at Facebook; Mark Zuckerberg still wears hoodies and sneakers (when he’s not wearing sandals and pajamas, I guess).

All sarcasm aside, it’s a pretty rad trailer for what is shaping up to be a generation-defining film (for this year, at least).
