Portable: Your works seem quite structured and pre-planned. Do you have a clear idea of the setup you want well in advance or do you switch around things a bit on the day of the shoot?

Arvida Bystrom: It really depends on the shoot. Usually when I can decide on my own how I want to work I just let it take time. I do shoots over and over, developing the process until I know how I want it to be. Usually deadlines and the idea of photography doesn’t allow it. Also, getting people involved with producing the work takes time, so it’s hard.
