Proenza Schouler designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez (aka the people responsible for making one of the most beautiful bags we’ve ever seen) have teamed up with iconic wunderkind film-maker Hormony Korine to create the video lookbook showcasing their Fall 2010 collection.
Fresh from the release of his latest film Trash Humpers (whose graphic content caused a rumoured 62 walkouts at the recent Melbourne International Film Festival), Korine headed home to Nashville armed with some pieces from the collection and some works by Christopher Wool (who the designers cite as inspiration for the clothes) and got to work creating an 8mm film that features local girls and looks to be very reminiscent of his early films.
The piece will premiere on Proenza Schouler’s website early next month. While we’re here, let’s all take a trip back to 1995 and watch David Letterman not understand Mr Korine one bit.
