Lilly Piri hails from Brisbane, Australia which is regarded by some as Florida in the southern hemisphere (that could be a complement or a detraction depending on where you’re reading this from). Perhaps her work carries the subtle pastel tones that you see if you travel to that part of the world although she says her pencil, oil and acrylic creations are inspired by cartoons and pottering in the garden. Either way, we love her combined sense of affection and humor. The image below was commissioned for the latest issue of Notebook magazine, however the rest are from her body of work.
