Actor is not the only title with which Zindzi Okenyo likes to label herself; working in professional theatre since 2008, Okenyo has had full time employment but has also had year-long breaks. Knowing that the theatre business is not always promising, Zindzi turned to photography in order to fill the gaps. She finds it important to place creative energy not only in getting a play, commercial, or film, but to also in other interests and hobbies. Photography is something that keeps Zindzi feeling “the right-kind-of-crazy.”

Six years ago Zindzi was tired of using her digital SLR and switched to an Olympus Penn EES-2.

“The feeling of waiting for film to be developed is one of my favorite feelings,” explained Okenyo. From there she fell in love with her camera and photography, and the rest is history.
