It was just a matter of time before someone used the photo settings on the iPhone to make a piece of long-lasting media. Instead of making a video, which people have certainly done, A Place To Bury Strangers has used the Ina 1969 Hipstamatic photo iPhone setting to make a super fun, faux-nostalgic music video.
The track is So Far Away and it’s from their upcoming EP titled Onwards To The Wall through indie label Dead Oceans Records, out February 7. Composed of a compilation of photos taken by band member Oliver Ackerman, the images take us on an intimate journey with the band, through Alamos and Leaning Towers of Pisa, kisses, beaches, trees, characteristic New York City landscapes, rooftops, bridges, and fire escapes. Nice of them to let us in.
