I am not ashamed to admit that the first time I heard about Run DMC was after watching an episode of Run’s House and wondering why Rev. Run had his own show. Of course, I later found out that he was the member of the legendary rap trio that inspired much of the hip-hop I listened to.
Recently, Run DMC has announced that the group is coming out of the 10 year retirement caused by the death of member Jam Master Jay in 2002. This will mark the first time the name Run DMC is used in performance since 2002, and also the first time that some of today’s youth will hear of the rap group that was the first of many. In tribute, we are taking a look back at the visual history of the legendary Run DMC as portrayed in their music videos and in performance.

I totally agree with that, as long as I dress modestly (which I am all the time regardless anyways), I wear whatever I feel like. Once in a while I wear a dress or a skirt, after I had DD, many of my dresses no longer fit me comfortably. So I really don’t have more than a few dresses I can fit into. I wear jeans and t-shirt or a sweater. Sometimes I wear my work clothes (a black polo shirt with a red collar, and black or khaki pants) if I am going straight to work after church is done. I try to put my DD in a dress every church just because she has tons of dresses and doesn’t get to wear them enough. I have worn skirts and dresses and jeans and a nice top. Sometimes I want to dress up like I would for a date and other times I just dress casual and you know what, God loves me just the same. He looks at my heart, not my clothes. I’ve never looked like a man or been mistaken for a man. Women’s clothing including pants are cut completely different from mens clothing. If a man were to wear my clothes (including jeans and slacks) he would look funny because they are for a girl. 22:5 which says nothing about a skirt, just not to wear mens clothing and men not to wear women’s clothing.
