At the end of last year, Portable discussed Sydney director Alex Goddard‘s Clubfeet project, Gold on Gold, in which the videographer assembled a series of videos to accompany the music of the five-piece band from Melbourne and Cape Town. The partnership has come to a close (for now) with their latest and final music video, Bright Lights Big City. Every track from Clubfeet’s 2010 debut album Gold on Gold was released with an accompanying artistic clip, and as Bright Lights Big City is the final part of this collaborative project, it is going out with a bang.
The six-video chapter project included 8mm frames that were hand-painted and process by Goddard himself, and definitely raised the bar in music videos. Graffiti, beaches, beautiful girls, vintage frames, skyscrapers and an infectious tune, Bright Lights Big City is everything Clubfeet fans wanted and more. Now let’s all cross our fingers and hope that they cross paths with Goddard again soon…
