The Chemical Brothers- Swoon Directed by Adam Smith
The new music video for Chemical Brothers’ Swoon (from their upcoming album Further) is the second collaboration between the group and director Adam Smith (of production company Flat Nose George, who were also responsible for the Galvanize video). Smith and Co. have a record of producing great work, with episodes of Skins, videos for Jamie T and Lady Sovereign, and frequent collaborations with the Streets under their collective belt
Add to that the group’s impressive back-catalogue of music video greatness, which includes an ill-fated Rosario Dawson in a communist Cuban softdrink commercial, CGI fish to give Nemo and Co. a run for their money, and a mid-90’s Sofia Coppola performing an impressive gymnastics floor routine, not to mention their collaborations with Michel Gondry.
While Swoon is not a large-scale video like those for Out of Control and Let Forever Be, its inate messages of nature defeating concrete expansion and love overcoming corporate greed are timeless.
