Nashville newbie Sage has released a video for her track Edie Sedgwick. While the song reeks of 80s quasi-Madonna punk, the sentiments are nice and it’s a cutesy kind of homage to the late artist/actress/model. What is interesting is that it’s directed by Sage’s friend Nikki Reed, who you might know from a little film called Twilight or perhaps from Thirteen. The video also features English folk scene darling Johnny Flynn as Sage’s love interest.
It’s Reed’s directorial debut and it shows promise (albeit rather stylised and a little contrived) and we’re interested to see where she takes this new found interest. Maybe Janis Joplin is next?
