Interpol Behind The Barricade

As we shuffle ever-closer to the highly anticipated, minus one Carlos D add one Dave Pajo and a pinch of Turn on the Bright Lights aesthetic 4th studio album for NYC’s Interpol, we’re handed a video for the single Barricade. Put together by Moh Azima, a man who already has clips for the Hold Steady, the Phenomenal Handclap Band and Chromeo tucked firmly under his directorial belt, Barricade explores ideas of those intangible mental and emotional barricades that isolate us from our nearest and dearest through a series of visual metaphors and motifs. While maybe not the most exciting video in the world, it still gives us that little tingle of joy knowing that the album is a mere seven fingers and zero toes away from being on high rotation in our audio machines.

Interpol’s self titled album Interpol is out September 7th on Matador.
