Hip Hop dream team duo Jay-Z and Kanye West had an amazing 2011 with the release of ‘Watch The Throne,’ an album with enough ridiculous power to give you an unprecedented energy, soothe you with cool vocals, and keep you guessing with their use consistently original beats. Quality and talent up the wazoo.
Kanye has released their video for ‘Watch The Throne’ track Niggas in Paris and it’s a deliciously chaotic, kaleidoscopic experience. Created with footage from their 2011 Watch The Throne tour, the video takes place at The Staples Center in Los Angeles. It captures the raw energy they brought to the show as well as the amazing enthusiasm spread throughout the audience members (though we have a sneaking suspicion some of these were part of the show). Jay-Z brings the effortless swag and Kanye brings some enviable dance flavor; these two clearly have a knack for delivering electrifying performances.
The beginning of the video issues a warning for anyone with epileptic sensibilities, implying that a seizure might be on the horizon if you don’t avert your eyes. Kanye certainly learned his lesson! His 2010 All of The Lights video was temporarily removed from YouTube for that very reason. We don’t mind; we dig (all of) the lights. Looking forward to the next one, boys.
