Canadian sister babes Tegan and Sara have just released the new video for On Directing, from their 2009 album ‘Sainthood’. Directed by regular collaborator Angela Kendall, the video features Tegan or Sara (I’ll admit- I can’t tell them apart) backlit, singing. Occasionally her sister shows up for a harmony and is superimposed over her, or has the outline of her silhouette repeated a few times…but that’s about all that happens.

We love Tegan and Sara, and maybe that’s why we feel kind of let down by this, especially coming from the partnership that brought us the Call it Off and Speak Slow videos.

Regardless of what we think of the video, the sisters are known for their wonderful live shows, and US residents can catch them playing all over the country until September. Details here.
