So far we have only managed to be captivated by Perfume Genius‘ heartbreakingly beautiful songs in his debut album “Learning”; there has not yet been an official video clip made for his songs, or anything visually enticing that manages to capture his sense of fragility and emotional instabilities that heavily inspired his music.
Recently profiled by Wonderland magazine, the one-man band from Seattle (also known as Mike Hadreas) teamed up with director Patrick Sher to deliver this three-minute video featuring his song “Look Out, Look Out” from the same album. Through the simple yet refined scenes in the video, Sher (who was also involved in the making of Ratatat and Moby videos) successfully brings out the inspirations, stories and Hadreas’ intimate connection in his songs and music
We think this would make do until an official video clip comes out.
“Learning” is available via Matador.
