Photographer and director Seamus Murphy once again helps PJ Harvey to deliver her new video clip for Let England Shake. The video features a series of images of theme parks, oceans and puppet shows; nevertheless great visual companions to the track.
This is the third time Seamus Murphy has directed a video for PJ Harvey. Previously, Murphy directed the clips for The Words That Maketh Murder and The Last Living Rose. The two great talents have been working together in various projects.
Different from her previous albums, “Let England Shake” is not so much about Harvey’s personal experience. Instead, the album tells stories about Harvey’s home country and world current affairs – drawing an intense examination of political conflicts throughout history, from Gallipoli to the Iraq War.
“Let England Shake” is Harvey’s 8th album and it is available now.
