Ambient aural explorers Love Connection have received widespread praise for their experimental and highly performative synth pop style, and have garnered huge followings on their tours throughout Australia and New Zealand.
We thought they were the perfect group to christen our new Portable PLAY series, and invited them to perform their track Lost City of Gold in our Melbourne office earlier this month, with artist Kate-Ward Walton on hand to create a visual wonderland over the course of the performance.
Portable PLAY is an experimental video series in which the Portable team collaborates with a different artists to create live and uninhibited performances. Not quite a music video, not quite a rehearsal: each session is filmed in one take to showcase the beauty and raw quality of live performance.
