Why we love her: Hailing from Australia’s Canada New Zealand, Kimbra Johnson has knocked us out with percussive vocals, jazz-age style, and better dance moves than Thom Yorke’s recent four-minute spaz-fest. She sticks with a tried-and-true pop sensibility, but the gloriously excessive handclaps and soulful voice make her stand out.
