With the release of the music video for their latest single “Your Drums, Your Love,” presented by Nowness, you can tell that AlunaGeorge is gearing up for a grand entrance into the music scene. Featuring the vocal stylings of Aluna Francis and the artistry of producer George Reid, the dup-pop duo pairs pop-and-lock dancers with Arran Gregory’s mirrored and monochromatic artwork for an experience that is thoroughly multidimensional.

Directed by Henry Scholfield and set in London’s Dalston Print House Gallery, where Gregory’s illustration exhibit is currently featured, Francois and Reid are two individuals with a painful past who run into each other at the exhibit. When Reid entered the gallery, the patrons freeze before breaking into a hypnotically choreographed dancer.

The result is a stunning journey around the gallery, incorporating an innovative use of perspective and space with mesmerizing camera angles to draw the viewer in. Francis’s voice is simultaneously sultry and sweet, and accompanied by elements of techno and R&B that enhance the melody without being overpowering.

Having already released an EP on Tri Angle Records earlier this year, AlunaGeorge is finishing their currently untitled debut album, which will hopefully be released within the next year.
