Taking a turn away from heart-wrenching family matters, the “retired” Oprah Winfrey is focusing on the quirks and motivations behind some of the world’s most creative individuals. ‘Visionaries: Inside The Creative Mind’ is a series of documentary films, to be shown on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), that will expose us to the innermost mental workings of the likes of Will.i.am, Annie Liebovitz, James Cameron, Tyler Perry, and Tom Ford.

Tom Ford‘s episode—which aired this past weekend—was particularly intriguing because he’s always been perceived as highly private and press-averse. The cameras follow him as he returns to the widely consuming fashion world after a five-year hiatus to pursue a fashion line all his own, no longer under the Gucci umbrella. ‘Visionaries’ also elaborates on his experience as a film director, with the much-anticipated release of his debut effort, A Single Man.
